“You did a fabulous job with confidence, skill & proficiency… I felt secure having you in charge of make-up & the knowledge I had that whatever came up, including prosthetics, I was secure that whatever you did would be smart, fast & artistically right in the zone”  Michael Mann, Dir. Public Enemies

“I took Jane’s makeup course in 2011 without any prior experience in professional makeup application. In addition to modern beauty and special effects makeup techniques for film & TV, Jane taught me how to be a makeup department head; not just a makeup artist. By teaching me how to department head, Jane enabled me to build a lucrative and creative career in the film industry; one where I would be hired on a feature film to design and execute the makeup looks and run a team of people to help me deliver the director’s vision. For my final piece of my training Jane brought me on set so I could see first-hand what working in this industry entails. Upon completing Jane’s class I began working as a department head on student films, which lead to non-union feature length films, which lead to department heading the film that would win Best Picture at the 2017 Academy Awards, Moonlight. Today I’m a member of the Local 706 hair and makeup union and am represented by one of the top hair and makeup agents in the industry. I travel the country working exclusively as a makeup department head for film & TV.”  Doniella Davy
